Taking Courses Before Admission
Per University of Delaware policy, graduate students can take up to 9 credits (or 3 courses) in the M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership program before applying and becoming admitted. You would be a non-matriculated student (CEND or Continuing Education Non-Degree) through Professional and Continuing Studies. Follow the link to Professional and Continuing Studies to register for the next session.
If you take courses before becoming admitted, please remember that taking courses and doing well does not guarantee later admission. Caution: Any courses taken above the 9 credit maximum will not transfer to the M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership program.
Transferring courses from another institution
If you have credits from another accredited college or university that are not already counting toward another degree and are well-aligned with the M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership curriculum, you should discuss the possibility of transferring the credits with Dr. Rachel Karchmer-Klein, the faculty program coordinator. A maximum of 9 credits may be transferred from another accredited college or university.
After admission, you will need to complete a Graduate Transfer of Credit form.
